Summer Theater Camp
Children come together for an intensive four-week theater program to create a production for themselves and the community. Using their imagination and skills they learn from theater professionals, they work as a team and grow as individuals. The program fosters self-expression, community, collaboration, and fun.
In the morning, campers rotate through workshops in movement/dance, voice, improvisation, music and scene work. Afternoons are spent developing and rehearsing an original ensemble based performance piece or play developed around a theme chosen by the campers and instructors.
Guest artists in mime, stage combat, masks and more round out this program which provides fun and challenge while strengthening both individual and interpersonal skills.
Camp is directed by Julie Ganey. Julie, BFA, AEA, AFTRA, is a graduate of DePaul University.
